DHI GRAS is specialised in earth observation, satellite image processing and Geographic Information Systems -GIS. Since 2000, more than 150 projects in more than 50 countries worldwide have been completed. DHI GRAS has a strong background in remote sensing for hydrology, water quality, environmental assessment and land cover mapping. Projects often run in interdisciplinary project settings requiring close collaboration with ecologists, hydrologists, coastal experts, engineers etc. Consequently DHI GRAS is used to adapting solutions and outputs to the specific needs of the user and the project context.
We work closely with universities, research institutions and commercial partners in order to develop innovative and cost effective applications that can be applied in a range of different projects. DHI GRAS is closely associated with and also physically located at the Department of Geosciences and Natural Resource Management (IGN), University of Copenhagen ensuring a close link to the remote sensing research community.
